Throw The Fight
THROW THE FIGHT -REVIEW-
Every song I listened to of TTF made me feel like I’ve heard them before, like I know them. It’s completely genre-defining with a raucous sense of honesty. Throw The Fight’s music, for me, are unapologetically uplifting. I am absolutely positive you would feel the same in every sense.
There’s something so likable about them. With songs like ‘’Not So Hollywood’’ and ‘’Weakest Hour’’ what’s not to like?
TTF was born more than 8 years ago, building up a substantial amount of experience and knowledge as to what attracts people. They have successfully presented 2 EP’s, 1 Debut Album and 2 Digital Singles, where Not So Hollywood is the latest digital single of 2011.
They have shared the stage with some of my favourite bands such as: Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Staind, Chevelle, Lost Prophets, A Change of Pace and many more. What an honour it must have been to play alongside these bands, and what an honour it is to support Throw The Fight.
As I’m going through the lyrics and listening to their music… getting to ‘know’ them, I feel they bring forth this surge of honesty…it’s actually quite refreshing. I mean, it’s hard to get any authenticity out of some bands today. Agree?
Weakest Hour.
I always research the lyrics of a song that I like and I believe most of you do that, it’s just something in a rock-music lover’s blood. We find relation in our music and Weakest Hour gives off a certain understanding… there’s no beating around the bush and trying to figure it out. You get it at the first listen and that is what I like about TTF… they make sense.
Here are the lyrics of Weakest Hour I feel you need to see for yourself what I’m talking about. Make sure you listen to the song as well… It is extremely addictive.
In my weakest hour I was waiting for a sign
Something to help me through the sleepless nights, help me through
In my darkest hour I had given up on life
So close to never waking up again
the emptiness it never ends | Bury me, lead me to an
early grave tonight, I don’t want to hold on like this
Where did you go when I was bleeding? Lying on the floor
Where did you go when I was reaching for you? Reaching
Where did you go when I was bleeding?
Where did you go when I was reaching for you?
In my weakest hour I chose alcohol instead of sharing my heart with the only one that ever really loved me all this time.
When I tried to hate me I know you were standing there
but I was wrapped up in my own regret, I’m sorry that it came to this
The loneliness and heartache that I’ve felt, it tears apart my dream of waking up so
Bury me lead me to an early grave tonight, bury me lead me tonight
Where did you go when I was bleeding? Lying on the floor
Where did you go when I was reaching for you?
Reaching
Where did you go when I was bleeding?
Where did you go when I was reaching for you?
There’s always something more
hold on until tomorrow
There’s always something more
with laughter there is sorrow
There’s always something more
there’s always someone waiting at your door
Where did you go when I was bleeding? Bleeding
Where did you go when I was reaching?
When I was reaching.
-NOT SO HOLLYWOOD-
Their latest digital single came to sketch us a portrait of who they are and how they think. It has a feel-good tone and marches on to ‘everybody wants to be a star, maybe you can fake it’. I like it. It’s telling us what already now, but we tend to admire the idea of being famous and having the world at your feet, forgetting the fact that it comes with 2 tons of baggage.
This song was particularly the center of discussion when I introduced it to my friends. It lead to a heated debate about being in that endless pit of destruction disguised by glitter and spot lights.
My take on Throw The Fight? Yes! Absolutely worth it going to see their live shows and buying any upcoming albums, I feel if they evolve at a constant rate they would be the band everyone talks about… If they aren’t already.

-Finding Emilie-… Have You found Emilie? Review and introduction of an uprising star.
Finding Emilie. ‘’Emilie represents all the good in the world and the great things about our life. For someone, they are still searching for happiness and love while others already have it, or you have lost it. Emilie is the perfectness of life and what we all attain and want in life but for most will never achieve it no matter how hard we try.’’ Tyler- Solo Artist reminds us how eloquent love is. The soaring lyrical contents of Finding Emilie are unapologetically uplifting, and the constant rhythm is an added bonus. Finding Emilie was born out of depression and raised in 2010, with his personal feelings flowing from his mind through the pen and on the paper. ‘’I was just so sick of things that I started writing songs and they eventually evolved into what I have now.’’ The main idea of music begins by relating to it, we find relation in everything we do, touch and feel. Tyler captured that unsettling concept and what we hear is a reflection of us. I chose one out of his ten recorded songs, just because I feel it’s something we need to hear and be confronted with, and what better way than in a song. It’s absolutely intriguing how multi-instrumental it sounds… with rock, electronica and classical features. Finding Emilie gets me, and will get you too. -Bloody knuckles- First of all, I loved the intro…It sounds so intense and confusing, much like the concept of the lyrics. It’s totally contradicting in the most conscious sense, but we all go through it. ‘’Bloody Knuckles is about hating that one person in your life that you absolutely love. The chorus has lines saying, “I wanna hate everything you are” and the next chorus almost contradicting that line by saying, “I wanna love everything that you’re not”. There is a lot of conflict and anger in the song but also confusion because at the end of the song we realize that no matter what, we will always love the things we hate the most.’’ I think every single one of us understands what he’s saying in some way or another. All I can say from a critic’s point of view is with time, comes growth, musically. Sounding utterly unique is a key to making a success. I believe his writing’s quite mature and eager-spirited. If Finding Emilie is at a constant rate of evolving, then I’m absolutely positive he’ll make it far… even further than his influences; it’s just a matter of time, place and dedication. I recommend Finding Emilie to anyone who enjoys listening to happy music, even though some of the lyrics are serious, it only points out what we know already and we could all use a little understanding. Please take the time to go to www.reverbnation.com/findingemilie and do yourself a huge favour. You won’t be disappointed. Peace Lizz SilentNoise

ESCAPE ARTISTS. Review of their debut single, Success Is Only a Breath Away.
Only the most determined wins, a direct manifestation of their music and what they ultimately stand for, along with the release of their debut single ‘’Success Is Only a Breath Away’’ they’ll sure to take part in transforming our way of thinking. I always picture a song in three ways… Can it be played at a party? (is it socially acceptable for people of a diverse taste in genres) secondly, how will it sound on my iPod/or car, full blast and lastly – how will it sound if performed live. Success Is Only a Breath Away was well received by my friends as I played it a couple of times at a small ‘party’ on Friday. It was an excellent soundtrack to the echo of people’s voices and the crackling of the firewood…their heads all seemed to go along with the beat. I’ve already uploaded it on my iPod and it’s been played 14 times… full volume. So that speaks for itself… Now, I haven’t had the honour of seeing them perform live, so I won’t be able to tell you if it sounds just as good, but I am confident in ensuring you that it’ll even be better. This is how most of you will perceive the song, in your car, on your laptop, mobile, iPod, tv etc. and I’m happy to say it’s enough to comply to your musical curiosity. Escape Artists, born on April 2011, took the live scene by storm, and by storm I mean loyal fans singing along, moshing and crowd surfing. Those are the three key ingredients for a great energetic performance. They even won a local ‘battle of the bands’ ranting in July which was definitely the right step into a promised future. Read lyrics first: Listen up, I’m telling you, there’s a better life than the one in view, Where anything is possible; homeless today, a star tomorrow, Seeing aint believing, believing is seeing; it’s all inside of you, So dare to be brave, forget the grave and be amazed at what you can do… Trust in me, when I say “we can go the whole way”, yeah yeah, Trust in me, when I say “we can go the whole way”, yeah yeah Success is only a breath away… Set your goals, watch them explode, into reality, Walk the path of divine, individuality, You can’t predict future, but you can make it, So draw a circle and reshape it and you will find love (love, love, love) Trust in me, when I say “we can go the whole way”, yeah yeah, Trust in me, when I say “we can go the whole way”, yeah yeah Success is only a breath away… A breath away, a breath away, a breath away… If you want it, get on it, and we can do it together, (together) together (together!) If you want it, get on it, and we can do it together, (together) together (together!) Trust in me, when I say “we can go the whole way”, yeah yeah, honey! Trust in me, when I say “we can go the whole way”, yeah yeah, honey! Trust in me, when I say “we can go the whole way”, yeah yeah, Success is…(repeating) Trust in me, when I say “we can go the whole way”, yeah yeah Success is…(repeating) Success is only a breath away… My first impression of the song was… ‘Damn, I like the tune ’, I didn’t really listen to the words at first; I always see if it plays to my liking and then I’ll make the effort to take note of the lyrics. Tate (singer) has a complete unique sound, very relaxed and goes with the flow. You kind of feel like you know him from somewhere… which is a good reaction, I felt totally at ease with the song, but it might not be so simple to decode the intension behind the lyrics. …the Escape Artists tend to playfully confuse you with ‘Trust in me, when I say “we can go the whole way”, yeah yeah’… Now, this could either carry on with the first verse about believing in yourself, or it can be about taking significant steps in a relationship. So either way, we can all relate to it. Whether you’re in a relationship and finding success within it, or whether you’re someone looking for inspiration towards bettering your life. This song makes sense. And it’s like they’re singing to us… people, kids, young adults, I mean anyone can take this advice and put it to good use. They are most certainly on their way to a bright journey and if all their songs are consistent to Success Is Only a Breath Away, then they’ve already prophesized their future. Give their song a listen and like them on Facebook @ Escape Artists. Also follow them on twitter if you want to stay updated on their plans and gigs. @UKescapeartists
